Ingredients

 

1–2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (1–1½ inch thick)

 

Salt & cracked black pepper

 

1 tbsp high-heat oil

 

2 tbsp butter

 

2 cloves garlic, smashed

 

Fresh thyme or rosemary

 

Method

 

1️⃣ Bring steak to room temp 30 minutes; pat dry and season well.

 

2️⃣ Heat oil in cast iron over high.

 

3️⃣ Sear 3–4 min per side (medium-rare).

 

4️⃣ Add butter, garlic, herbs; baste 1–2 minutes.

 

5️⃣ Rest 10 minutes before slicing.

 

🍤 Creamy Garlic Shrimp

 

Ingredients

 

1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined

 

1 tbsp butter

 

2 cloves garlic, minced

 

½ cup heavy cream

 

¼ cup grated Parmesan

 

Pinch red pepper flakes

 

Salt & pepper

 

Method

 

1️⃣ Sauté shrimp in butter 1–2 min per side; remove.

 

2️⃣ Add garlic; cook 30 seconds.

 

3️⃣ Stir in cream, simmer 2–3 minutes.

 

4️⃣ Add Parmesan; return shrimp and toss until coated.

 

🥔 Buttery Mashed Potatoes

 

Boil 2 lb Yukon Gold or russets until fork-tender.

 

Mash with 4 tbsp butter and ½–¾ cup warm milk/cream.

 

Season and whip until smooth.

 

🧅 Sweet Sautéed Onions

 

Slice 1 large onion.

 

Cook low in butter or oil 10–15 minutes until soft and golden.

 

Season lightly with salt.
