Butter-Roasted Pecans

Ingredients:
4 cups pecan halves
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 300°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the pecan halves and stir to coat evenly. Toast for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant.

Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the warm pecans and toss well to coat evenly.

Spread the pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until golden and crisp.

Remove from the oven and allow the pecans to cool completely on the baking sheet. They will become crunchier as they cool. Break apart any clusters before serving.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Perfect for holiday snacking, topping salads, or gifting in decorative jars.
