The Famous “Melt-in-Your-Mouth” Apple Cake
Ingredients
Apples: 4 large apples (approx. 500g), diced (unpeeled for texture).
Eggs: 3 large eggs.
Milk: 180 ml.
Sugar: 100g (about ½ cup).
Butter: 80g melted butter (or vegetable oil).
Flour: 200g – 250g (approx. 1 ½ cups, adjusted for consistency).
Baking Powder: 1 tablespoon (10-12g).
Vanilla: 1 teaspoon (extract or powder).
Salt: A small pinch.
Topping: Powdered sugar (icing sugar) for dusting.
Instructions
Prep the Batter: In a large bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar and vanilla until the mixture is pale and slightly frothy.
Add Liquids: Pour in the milk and melted butter. Whisk gently until well combined.
Dry Ingredients: Sift the flour, baking powder, and pinch of salt into the wet mixture. Stir with a spatula or hand whisk until the batter is smooth and lump-free.
Fold in Apples: Add the diced apples to the batter. Gently fold them in until every piece of apple is thoroughly coated.
Baking: * Grease a springform pan (like the one in the photo) with butter and a light dusting of flour.
Pour the mixture into the pan and spread it evenly.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Finishing Touch: Let it cool slightly before removing from the pan. Dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.
Pro Tip: For a deeper flavor, add a teaspoon of cinnamon to the flour—it’s the perfect companion for apples!
