Sweet & Savory Turkey-Wrapped Dates

Ingredients:
12 pitted Medjool dates
6 slices turkey bacon (or your preferred turkey substitute)
1/4 cup goat cheese or cream cheese
1/4 cup chopped almonds or pecans (optional)
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Dates:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
Slice the dates lengthwise and remove any pits, creating a pocket.
Stuff each date with about 1 teaspoon of goat cheese or cream cheese. If using, add some chopped almonds or pecans for a little crunch.
