Surf and Turf Burger with Spicy Fries

Ingredients:
For the Burger:
1 lb ground beef (for 4 patties)
4 hamburger buns, lightly toasted
4 slices cheddar cheese
16 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup fresh lettuce, shredded
1 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
For the Spicy Fries:
4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp sriracha sauce
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
Prepare the Fries:
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Toss the cut fries in olive oil, salt, and pepper, then spread them evenly on a baking sheet.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
While the fries are baking, mix mayonnaise and sriracha sauce in a small bowl to create the spicy dipping sauce.
Once the fries are done, drizzle them with the spicy sauce and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
Prepare the Burger Patties:
Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then shape it into 4 equal-sized patties.
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side or until your desired doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
Cook the Shrimp:
In a separate skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Toast the Buns:
Melt butter in a pan over medium heat and lightly toast the hamburger buns until golden brown.
Assemble the Burger:
Place a layer of shredded lettuce on the bottom bun.
Top with a cheese-topped beef patty, followed by 4 shrimp.
Close the burger with the top bun.
Serve:
Place the burger on a clean white plate next to a generous portion of spicy fries.
Serve immediately, and enjoy the savory, spicy, and fresh combination!
