Salmon Patties

Salmon Patties
Ingredients
Salmon: 1 large can of salmon (drained) or cooked, flaked fresh salmon.
Vegetables: Finely chopped green onions (scallions), and 1 clove of minced garlic.
Binders: 1 large egg and ½ cup of breadcrumbs (or crushed saltine crackers).
Flavorings: 1 tbsp Dijon mustard, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional), and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
Seasoning: Salt, black pepper, and paprika (or seafood seasoning).
For Frying: Vegetable oil or butter.
Instructions
Prep the Salmon: If using canned salmon, drain it thoroughly. Remove any skin or bones if desired, then flake the fish with a fork in a large bowl.
Mix: Add the chopped green onions, breadcrumbs, egg, mustard, and seasonings to the salmon. Mix well until the ingredients are combined and hold together.
Shape: Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into round discs or “patties,” as shown in the photo.
Chill (Optional): Place the patties in the refrigerator for 15–30 minutes; this helps them stay firm and prevents them from falling apart while frying.
Fry: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties for 3–4 minutes per side until they are golden brown and crispy.
Serving Suggestions
Serve hot with Tartar sauce or a creamy lemon-dill sauce.
Pairs perfectly with white rice, a fresh green salad, or inside a burger bun.
