Pineapple Upside Down Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
* 1 can pineapple slices (reserve juice)
* 1/3 cup brown sugar
* 1/4 cup butter
* Maraschino cherries
* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* 1/2 cup sugar
* 1/4 cup oil
* 1 egg
* 1/2 cup pineapple juice
* 1 tsp baking powder
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Melt butter in a round cake pan and sprinkle brown sugar evenly.
2. Arrange pineapple slices and cherries on top.
3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, oil, egg, and pineapple juice.
4. Pour batter over fruit.
5. Bake 35–40 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes, then invert onto a plate. Serve warm or chilled.
