Pecan pie

Pecan pie is a classic Southern dessert that’s sweet, nutty, and rich. Here’s a simple recipe to make it:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and place a pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together 3 large eggs, 1 cup of light corn syrup, 1 cup of packed brown sugar, 1/4 cup of melted butter, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
3. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of pecan halves, mixing them into the syrup mixture.
4. Pour the pecan mixture into the prepared pie crust and spread the pecans evenly.
5. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the pie is set and the filling is slightly firm to the touch. If the crust edges start to brown too quickly, cover them with foil.
6. Let the pie cool completely before slicing.
Serve your pecan pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for a deliciou
s treat!
