Fried Cabbage with Bacon

Ingredients

6 slices bacon, chopped

1 medium head green cabbage, chopped

1 onion, diced

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoon butter (optional)

Instructions

Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon but leave the drippings.

Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until softened.

Add chopped cabbage, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir well to coat in bacon drippings.

Cook 10–12 minutes, stirring often, until cabbage is tender and lightly browned.

Stir in cooked bacon and add butter for extra richness if desired.

Serve warm as a side with cornbread, pork chops, or chicken.
