Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
Pinch of salt

Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Cover and refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 to 2 hours until thoroughly chilled.

Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually about 20 to 25 minutes, until thick and creamy.

Transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 2 to 4 hours for a firmer texture.

Scoop and serve on its own or alongside your favorite pies, cobblers, or cakes.
