Ingredients:

– 500 grams of all-purpose flour

– 350 ml of warm water

– 10 grams of salt

– 10 grams of sugar

– 7 grams of dry yeast (or 20 grams of fresh yeast)

– 30 ml of olive oil or melted butter

 

### Instructions:

 

1. **Activate the Yeast**:

– In a small bowl, mix the sugar with warm water.

– Add the yeast and stir. Let it sit for 10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

 

2. **Prepare the Dough**:

– In a large bowl, place the flour and salt.

– Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.

– Use a wooden spoon or your hands to mix the ingredients until a soft dough forms.

 

3. **Knead the Dough**:

– Transfer the dough to a floured work surface.

– Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

 

4. **First Rise**:

– Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap or a clean towel.

– Let it rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until it doubles in size.

 

5. **Shape the Bread**:

– After the dough rises, punch it down gently.

– Shape the dough into a loaf or place it in a bread pan.

 

6. **Second Rise**:

– Place the dough in the pan and let it rise again for about 30 minutes.

 

7. **Baking**:

– Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).

– Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and it sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.

 

8. **Cooling**:

– Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
