🍗🥞 Chicken Fried Biscuit 🥞🍗
Ingredients
* 4 cube steaks (about 120 g each), pounded thin
* 1 cup buttermilk
* 1 tsp hot sauce
* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* 1 tsp smoked paprika
* 1/2 tsp garlic powder
* 1/2 tsp black pepper
* 1/2 tsp salt
* Vegetable oil for frying
* 4 buttermilk biscuits, halved
* 4 tbsp butter, softened
For the gravy:
* 2 tbsp flour (from drippings)
* 1 1/2 cups milk
* Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine buttermilk and hot sauce. Add cube steaks and marinate for 30 minutes.
2. Mix flour, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
3. Remove steaks from marinade and dredge in seasoned flour. Let rest 5 minutes.
4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry steaks for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
5. In the same skillet, leave about 2 tbsp of drippings. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
6. Gradually add milk, whisking until smooth. Simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Toast biscuit halves and butter them.
8. Place one fried steak on each bottom biscuit half, spoon over gravy, and top with the other biscuit half.

Optional Tips:
* For extra crispy crust, double-dip the steaks by dredging again after a second dip in the marinade.
* Add a fried egg for a brunch twist.
