1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)

1 tbsp unsalted butter

1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped

For the Garlic Butter Shrimp:

12–15 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp paprika

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

1/2 tsp lemon juice

For the Sauce (Hollandaise or Béarnaise):

3 egg yolks

1 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

1/2 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)

1 tbsp fresh chives or tarragon, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

✅Instructions:

1. Cook the Steak:

1. Remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

2. Preheat a grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

4. Sear the steak for about 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust time based on desired doneness).

5. In the last minute of cooking, add butter and baste the steak.

6. Remove the steak, tent it with foil, and let it rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

2. Prepare the Garlic Butter Shrimp:

1. Heat a pan over medium heat and melt the butter.

2. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

3. Add the shrimp, salt, pepper, and paprika, then cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

4. Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with parsley.

3. Make the Sauce (Hollandaise or Béarnaise):

1. In a heatproof bowl, whisk the egg yolks and lemon juice until thick.

2. Place the bowl over a double boiler (simmering water) and slowly whisk in melted butter.

3. Stir constantly until the sauce thickens (do not overheat, or the eggs will scramble).

4. Add Dijon mustard (if using), herbs, salt, and pepper.

5. Remove from heat and keep warm.

Serving:

Arrange the steak and shrimp on a serving board.

Pour the sauce into a small bowl for dipping.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
