Slow Cooker Garlic Lemon Chicken
Ingredients
Chicken: 4 to 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
Garlic: 4-6 cloves, finely minced (as seen in the image).
Herbs: Fresh thyme or chopped parsley.
Liquid Base: Chicken broth, fresh lemon juice, and a splash of olive oil or melted butter.
Seasoning: Salt, black pepper, and optionally a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
Preparation Steps
Arrange: Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker. Season them lightly with salt and pepper.
Mix the Sauce: In a small pitcher or bowl, whisk together the broth, lemon juice, minced garlic, and fresh herbs.
Pour: Pour the mixture evenly over the chicken, making sure the garlic and herbs are well-distributed.
Cook:
On Low: 4 to 6 hours.
On High: 2 to 3 hours.
Serve: Once the chicken is tender, serve it with white rice, steamed vegetables, or mashed potatoes.
Quick Tip: If you want a thicker sauce, whisk a teaspoon of cornstarch into the juices at the end and cook for another 15 minutes on high.
