Classic Salmon Patties
Ingredient:
Salmon: 1 can of salmon (drained) or an equivalent amount of cooked, flaked fresh salmon.
Binder: 1 large egg to hold the ingredients together.
Crunch & Texture: ½ cup breadcrumbs or crushed saltine crackers.
Vegetables & Herbs:
2-3 finely chopped green onions (as clearly seen in the image).
1 clove of minced garlic.
Optional: Fresh parsley or dill for extra flavor.
Seasoning:
1 tbsp lemon juice.
1 tsp mustard (Dijon or yellow).
Salt and black pepper to taste.
Instructions
Mix: In a large bowl, combine the flaked salmon, green onions, garlic, and seasonings.
Bind: Add the egg and breadcrumbs, mixing gently until the mixture holds its shape.
Form: Shape the mixture into medium-sized round, flat patties.
Cook: Heat a small amount of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties for 3–4 minutes per side until they are golden brown and crispy.
