Cracked Crab Cheese Bread

Ingredients:

1 round loaf of sourdough or French bread (about 8-10 inches in diameter)

8 oz cream cheese (softened)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a cheese blend)

1 cup lump crab meat (cooked and drained)

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup green onions (chopped)

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Paprika (for garnish)

Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Prepare the bread: Cut the top off the round loaf of bread and carefully hollow out the inside, leaving about 1 inch of bread on the sides and bottom. Set the hollowed-out bread aside. You can tear the removed bread into pieces for serving or use it in another dish.

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, lump crab meat, mayonnaise, chopped green onions, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Stuff the mixture into the hollowed-out bread, pressing down gently to pack it in.

Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet and cover the top with aluminum foil.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is hot and bubbly.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden and slightly crispy.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle paprika and fresh parsley on top for garnish.

Serve warm, with the reserved bread pieces or crackers for dipping.

This Cracked Crab Cheese Bread is creamy, cheesy, and loaded with delicious crab flavor—perfect for sharing! Enjoy!
