Skillet Brookie Recipe (Brownie + Cookie)

✅Ingredients:

 

For the Brownie Layer:

 

½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted

 

¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar

 

¼ cup (50g) brown sugar

 

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

2 large eggs

 

½ cup (60g) all-purpose flour

 

¼ cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder

 

¼ teaspoon salt

 

¼ teaspoon baking powder

 

For the Cookie Layer:

 

½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened

 

½ cup (100g) brown sugar

 

¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar

 

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

1 large egg

 

1 ¼ cups (155g) all-purpose flour

 

½ teaspoon baking soda

 

¼ teaspoon salt

 

½ cup (90g) chocolate chips

 

For Topping:

 

Vanilla ice cream

 

Chocolate sauce

 

✅Instructions:

 

1. Preheat the Oven:

 

Set your oven to 175°C (350°F). Lightly grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet.

 

2. Prepare the Brownie Layer:

 

In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla.

 

Add eggs and mix well.

 

Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined.

 

Pour the brownie batter into the skillet and spread evenly.

 

3. Prepare the Cookie Layer:

 

In another bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.

 

Mix in the vanilla and egg.

 

Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir until combined.

 

Fold in chocolate chips.

 

Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the brownie batter. Gently spread but don’t mix.

 

4. Bake:

 

Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly gooey.

 

Remove from oven and let it cool slightly.

 

5. Serve:

 

Top with vanilla ice cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce.

 

Serve warm straight from the skillet!
