making a delicious Ribeye Steak Sandwic
✅Ingredients:
For the Sandwich:
1 lb (450g) ribeye steak, thinly sliced
4 hoagie rolls or sandwich buns
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
4 slices provolone cheese (or cheese of choice)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
For Serving (Optional):
Mayonnaise
Dijon mustard
Hot sauce
✅Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ribeye Steak
Place the ribeye steak in the freezer for about 30 minutes to firm up slightly (this makes slicing easier).
Using a sharp knife, thinly slice the steak against the grain into small strips.
2. Sauté the Vegetables
Heat 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they soften and caramelize slightly.
Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute until fragrant.
Remove the vegetables from the pan and set aside.
3. Cook the Steak
In the same pan, increase heat to medium-high.
Add the sliced ribeye steak, season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes.
Sear for 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned.
Add Worcestershire sauce and mix well.
Return the cooked onions and peppers to the pan. Stir everything together and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
4. Assemble the Sandwich
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) or use a stovetop griddle.
Slice the hoagie rolls and lightly toast them.
Place a slice of provolone cheese on the bottom half of each roll.
Spoon the hot steak and vegetable mixture over the cheese, allowing it to melt.
Optionally, spread mayo, Dijon mustard, or hot sauce on the top bun before closing the sandwich.
5. Serve and Enjoy
Serve the ribeye steak sandwiches hot with fries, chips, or a side salad.
