Hot Ham and Cheese

Hot Ham and Cheese
Ingredients:
8 slices sandwich bread or 4 sandwich rolls
8 slices deli ham
4 slices Swiss or cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 tablespoon Dijon or yellow mustard
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a baking dish or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, mustard, mayonnaise, garlic powder, and dried parsley until smooth.
Spread a thin layer of the butter mixture on one side of each slice of bread. Layer ham evenly over four slices of bread, then place a slice of cheese on top of the ham. Cover with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing up.
Place the sandwiches on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing.
Serve warm for a simple, comforting meal perfect for lunch, supper, or game day gatherings.
