Brussels Sprouts

Brussels Sprouts
🛒 Ingredients
Fresh Brussels Sprouts: (Approx. 500g).
Olive Oil: 3 tablespoons (essential for crispiness).
Salt & Black Pepper: To taste.
Garlic: 2 minced cloves or 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
Optional Add-ins (as seen in the image): Small pieces of turkey bacon or beef bits, toasted walnuts, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze or honey after roasting.
👨🍳 Preparation Steps
Prep: Wash the sprouts thoroughly and pat them completely dry (dryness is the secret to crunchiness). Trim the hard stem ends and cut each sprout in half lengthwise.
Season: In a large bowl, toss the sprouts with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic. Ensure every piece is well-coated.
Arrange: Spread them on a baking sheet with the cut-side down; this helps caramelize the surface and brings out their natural sweetness.
Roast: Place in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 20 to 25 minutes.
Finish: Flip them once halfway through. The outer leaves should be golden-brown and crispy.
💡 Pro-Tip:
For an extra kick of flavor, sprinkle some Parmesan cheese or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice over them immediately after taking them out of the oven while they are still hot.
