Old-School Ground Beef Spaghetti

Old-School Ground Beef Spaghetti
Ingredient:
Pasta: 1 package (approx. 500g) of Spaghetti.
Meat: 1 lb (500g) Ground Beef (no sausage).
Sauce Base: * 1 finely chopped onion.
3 cloves of minced garlic.
1 can (15 oz) Tomato Sauce or Marinara.
2 tbsp Tomato Paste.
Seasoning: Salt, black pepper, 1 tsp sugar (to balance acidity), and 1 tsp dried oregano or basil.
Optional: Finely diced green bell pepper and dried parsley for garnish.
Preparation Steps
Boil the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the spaghetti until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Brown the Meat: In a large skillet (like the one in the photo), heat a little oil and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and crumbled.
Add Flavors: Stir in the minced garlic (and bell pepper if using) for 1 minute. Add the tomato paste and seasonings, stirring to toast the paste slightly.
Simmer the Sauce: Pour in the tomato sauce and let it simmer on low heat for 15–20 minutes until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld.
Combine: Add the cooked spaghetti directly into the skillet with the sauce. Toss well until every strand is coated with the meaty sauce.
The “Old-School” Touch
To get that authentic look from the picture, sprinkle some dried parsley and maybe a dash of Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
