Kentucky Butter Cake 🍰

Kentucky Butter Cake 🍰
This cake is famous for its rich, velvety texture and the sweet, buttery glaze that soaks deep into the sponge, creating a sugary crust.
Ingredients
The Cake:
1 cup (2 sticks) Butter, softened.
2 cups Sugar.
4 Large eggs.
2 tsp Vanilla extract.
3 cups All-purpose flour.
1 tsp Baking powder.
1/2 tsp Baking soda.
1 tsp Salt.
1 cup Buttermilk.
The Butter Glaze:
3/4 cup Sugar.
1/3 cup Butter.
3 tbsp Water.
2 tsp Vanilla extract.
Preparation Method
Prep the Oven and Pan: Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan thoroughly.
Mix the Batter: Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the dry ingredients and add them to the creamed mixture alternately with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the flour.
Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Make the Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine the sugar, butter, water, and vanilla. Cook over low heat until the butter is melted and sugar is dissolved (do not let it boil).
The Soak: While the cake is still hot and in the pan, poke holes all over the bottom of the cake with a skewer or fork. Slowly pour the warm glaze over the cake so it absorbs into the holes.
Cool: Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before inverting it onto a serving plate.
