🥩 Salisbury Steak With Gravy
Ingredients (Steaks)
500 g ground beef
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil or butter (for frying)
Ingredients (Gravy)
1 medium onion, sliced
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and black pepper to taste
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Steaks
In a bowl, mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Shape the mixture into medium oval patties.
Heat the oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook the patties for about 4–5 minutes per side until nicely browned.
Remove from the skillet and set aside.
2️⃣ Make the Gravy
In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook until softened.
Add the flour and stir for about 1 minute.
Gradually pour in the beef broth while stirring to prevent lumps.
Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
Let the gravy simmer until it thickens.
3️⃣ Final Cooking
Return the patties to the skillet with the gravy.
Cover and simmer on low heat for 10–15 minutes until fully cooked and the gravy thickens.
🍽️ Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or sautéed vegetables.
